THE PROBLEM OF INTUITION

01-07-2024

Is there a biased way of decision-making that cannot be related or reduced to thinking and for which the term intuition may fit best?

A mere answer of yes or no to this question is unsatisfactory to the thinking individual who can only be persuaded by evidence and logical argument. We use the term "intuition" here as referring to an innate biased way of decision-making that differs completely from the thinking way of decision-making. Whatever the claim regarding the term "intuition" might be, the real problem is to satisfy the requirement and need of science for empirical evidence.
